Empower + Thrive
Workplace Wellbeing With Real Impact
When women feel confident and safe, they show up differently everywhere.
My self defence workshops are all about providing practical, empowering sessions for women designed for workplaces, wellbeing events, conferences, leadership programmes, and organisations that genuinely want to invest in their people.
The workshops aren’t about teaching women to fight, it’s about helping them feel more confident in how they move through the world every day. It’s about learning how to set clear boundaries, communicate with confidence, stay calm under pressure, and become more aware of both themselves and their surroundings.
Because self-defence starts long before physical confrontation.
It starts with communication, confidence, awareness, presence, and the ability to trust your instincts and use your voice when it matters most. These are skills that are just as valuable in a meeting room as they are walking to a car park after work.
Through my workshops, I help women build practical personal safety skills alongside the kind of confidence and resilience that carries into everyday life and the workplace. Sessions are always designed to feel supportive, realistic, empowering, and accessible — never intimidating.
Participants learn practical strategies around:
Personal safety and situational awareness
Boundary setting and verbal confidence
De-escalation and responding under pressure
Building resilience and self-trust
Staying calm and grounded in challenging situations
What I love most is seeing how these sessions impact people beyond the workshop itself. Confidence changes how people communicate, lead, contribute, and show up — both professionally and personally.
The organisations bringing this kind of training into the workplace aren’t simply ticking a wellbeing box. They’re creating cultures built on psychological safety, stronger communication, leadership presence, and team confidence. They’re recognising that when women feel safer and more empowered, it positively influences every part of the workplace experience.
My workshops work particularly well for corporate wellbeing days, leadership programmes, women’s networks, HR wellbeing initiatives, conferences, community organisations, schools, and youth groups — and I can tailor sessions to suit your audience, goals, and event style.

Meet Your Instructor
Hello! I’m Jules
I know what you’re thinking … I don’t look like your average self-defence instructor.
I’m not super muscly, I can count the amount of gym kit I have on one hand, and I don’t look particularly intimidating (even if I do my best Roy Kent snarl). I’m just a normal 40-something mum who believes all women and girls deserve to feel safe.
Self-defence, to me, should be accessible, realistic, and empowering.
That’s exactly what these workshops are about.
That’s the beauty of these workshops’ skills — we teach practical skills that are designed with real women and real-life situations in mind.
No fitness level required
No martial arts background needed
No pressure to “fight”
Just simple techniques, confidence-building and practical safety skills that anyone can learn and use.
My training
I hold the Strike Back Self Defence Level 1 Instructor Qualification, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to deliver practical, empowering self-defence training in a safe, supportive, and accessible way.
My training focuses not only on physical techniques, but also on confidence-building, awareness, communication, and helping women feel more capable and prepared in everyday situations.
